FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 21, 2026
St. John’s, NL — Work Global Canada Inc. proudly celebrates its 14th anniversary on February 21, 2026, marking more than a decade of helping employers across Newfoundland and Labrador—and throughout Canada—build stable, sustainable, and future‑ready workforces.
Founded on the belief that every business deserves access to the talent it needs to grow, Work Global Canada Inc. has spent fourteen years navigating shifting labour markets, demographic pressures, and economic uncertainty with tenacity, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to client success.
This year’s anniversary also serves as a moment of reflection. The Work Global Canada Inc. team honours the memory of Yvonne Myers, one of the organization’s founding members and its original RCIC. Yvonne’s professionalism, compassion, and deep commitment to ethical immigration practice helped shape the foundation on which the company stands today. Her influence continues to guide the organization’s values, its service to employers, and its dedication to supporting newcomers as they build new lives in Canada.
“Reaching fourteen years is a testament to the resilience of our team and the trust of the employers we serve,” said Paul Shelley, President of Work Global Canada Inc. “Our clients face real challenges—labour shortages, succession pressures, and the need for long‑term workforce stability. We’ve built our reputation on standing with them, finding solutions, and ensuring they have the people they need to succeed.”
Since 2020, Work Global Canada Inc. has stood firm through some of the most challenging years our region has ever faced. As labour markets shifted, industries were tested, and uncertainty became a daily reality, our commitment never wavered. We remained ready, available, and steadfast—not just in words, but in action.
The labour market in 2020 was shaped by:
- Pandemic‑driven job losses and partial recovery
- Persistently high unemployment
- Deep regional and sectoral disparities
- Long‑standing demographic and structural challenges
- Increased reliance on government‑supported training and employment programs
Every employer who reached out found a partner who showed up, adapted, and delivered. Every challenge became an opportunity to innovate. Every disruption strengthened our resolve to serve this region with integrity and purpose.
“We’ve had a great experience working with Work Global Canada. Their support in recruitment and immigration has been reliable, responsive, and an important part of our growth at Carol Lake Metal Works, Metal fabricator in Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador.”
As we mark this milestone on February 21, we do so with pride in how far we’ve come and deep gratitude for the employers who have trusted us along the way. Work Global Canada Inc. continues to stand with Newfoundland and Labrador and Atlantic Canada—resilient, dedicated, and unwavering in our mission to help businesses grow, rebuild, and thrive.
“Our success has always been tied to the success of our clients,” said Wanda Cuff Young, Vice President of Operations. “Every time a business stabilizes its workforce, keeps its doors open, or finds the right long‑term employee, that is a win for the employer, the community, and the province. We are honoured to play a role in that.”
As Work Global Canada Inc. enters its fifteenth year, the organization remains focused on innovation, employer support, and building pathways that strengthen local economies—especially in rural and remote regions where workforce challenges are most pressing.
Newcomers are at the heart of our mission and our commitment.
Every day, they bring strength, determination, and new possibility to the employers and communities we serve. As they build their lives here in Newfoundland and Labrador and across Atlantic Canada, they enrich workplaces, support local economies, and help communities grow stronger.
At Work Global Canada Inc., we walk beside them—supporting their settlement, championing their success, and ensuring they have every opportunity to thrive. Their journey fuels our purpose, and their contributions shape the vibrant, resilient communities we are helping to build right now.
