Job Overview

As a Human Resources Recruitment Officer, you will be responsible for managing the recruitment process, supporting employers with hiring initiatives, and assisting with various HR and immigration-related recruitment activities. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify current and future staffing requirements.
  • Prepare and post job advertisements on various recruitment platforms.
  • Screen resumes and applications.
  • Advise applicants on employment requirements and terms of employment.
  • Coordinate interviews between employers and candidates.
  • Participate in candidate selection and evaluation.
  • Notify applicants of recruitment results and prepare job offers.
  • Advise employers on recruitment processes and immigration-related hiring procedures.
  • Recruit graduates from colleges, universities, and other educational institutions.
  • Maintain and update candidate inventories and recruitment databases.
  • Follow up with candidates regarding credentials, application status, and documentation.
  • Identify qualified candidates for employer endorsements.
  • Assist employers with Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) Designation and Job Vacancy Assessment (JVA) applications.
  • Organize, scan, file, and maintain recruitment records and documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with the HR and other departments.
  • Assist in employee relations, training coordination, and HR administrative duties.
  • Support Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) documentation, when required.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in:
    • Human Resources Management
    • Business Administration
    • Related field

Experience

  • 2 to less than 3 years of recruitment or human resources experience.
